Artist Statement
I search for the quiet in loud moments. My images are fleeting, observing natural patterns and finding the breath between moments.
Making a photograph is theft of the present. An encapsulation of myself, a moment in time and a narrative. Without that image, a moment is lost. Only leaving subjectivity of the mind to carry it. With that image however, we own our experiences in a tangible form, a measurable one. One that can be measured and experienced again and again for generations to come. One that will tell the stories of our time.
The photographic medium is an extension of my confidence. With a camera, I am allowed into a world I wouldn’t experience otherwise.

Noah Stone
Noah Stone is a documentary photographer currently residing in Lynchburg, Virginia. His work is inspired by layers, quiet spaces and purist photo making.
Self taught in the arts and photography, Noah began making images in 2017. During the pandemic, while completing university, he created his own darkroom and film lab to make images himself from start to finish. Since 2023, Noah has been working on “The Grey Zone” as his first solo photographic series. Inspired by the greats of photography, Noah seeks to pay homage to the craft of photography whilst embracing his own photojournalistic approach. Along with “The Grey Zone”, he is beginning to work on a personal series examining his own identity.
